Gaia Green Organics is one of the leading organic plant nutrient brands in North America, providing their customers with high-quality organic fertilizers for over 30 years. Originally founded in a small British Columbia town, the branding and packaging needed a major update to stand up against the other organic products on store shelves.
Working with a team of designers as well as the original founder, Gaia Green Organics was given the refresh that it needed while still keeping the core values intact.
"Designed to increase biological activity."
MICHAEL DEAN, FOUNDER

The first phase was the packaging. The iconic green lid on the white pail was kept intact, but we sourced bright new photography for the background of each label and assigned each product its own custom colour card to identify which category it fell into.
The logo also got a refresh to match the new labels, making sure to preserve the original concept and colour as per the founder's request. Some alternative designs were pitched that you can view on my Logos page.
The product guide was developed to showcase all of the products with their new look.

The website went through a few revisions, as we learned more and more about the brand and what made it so special to all of it's die-hard fans. The final version was largely a team effort, but I assisted in creative direction and graphic element development.
Point of sale materials are crucial for the Gaia Green sales team to expand their business and keep nursery owners interested, so items like banners were designed for these customers.

Branded swag was the bread and butter for trade shows, new clients, social media influencers, and staff. One of the most successful pieces was the iconic Gaia Green crewneck sweatshirt.

The Gaia Green truck was wrapped with the new branding so that it could be recognized as it drove around British Columbia to make deliveries.
